To better understand the experiences of geoscientists, we carried out a global survey asking about people's experience (or lack of) with prejudice, inequity, bias, exclusion, sexism, and discrimination within the larger geoscience community. The survey was launched in 2020 with the main purpose of structuring a virtual event discussing these topics within the geoscience community.

The survey received a strong response, with 708 participants from 58 countries. A summary of the survey results was presented at the start of the first EDIG conference, run in December 2020. The recording of this talk is available on our YouTube channel, accessible here.

We are currently working on a report outlining these results, which we plan to share here and through our network when finished.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our survey, and in particular to those who shared their stories with us.
